how horribly sad and yet so true for so many dogs and cats
July 3rd, 2009
that is so sad it did make me cry, it must be how hundreds of abandoned dogs feel i was reading it hoping it would have a happy ending, and is really sad to think of all the dogs going through that sort of emotions, maybe it should be sent to all the people who breed just to have puppies and maybe they will think twice about having the litter,

This story and others like it have been around for awhile. They are very thought provoking. Unfortunately this is going on more often because the people who are losing their homes to foreclosure cannot find rentals that allow pets. So now the really wanted and loved pets are ending up in the shelter. It too bad that so many land lords have been screwed by poor pet owners that they no longer allow pets in their properties. The cats have even a harder time as there are more of them.

I have seen this many times and it always brings a tear.
As long as people continually irresponsibly breed dogs and irresponsibly buy dogs this will continue to happen.
People wonder why some people get nasty about people who breed dogs when they know nothing about it nor do they ever intend to do it properly or when people buy dogs they can;t afford to care for. When you have spent as many years in animal rescue as many of us have been we have seen this happen so many times yes it does make you bitter against the irresponsible breeders and owners.
Sadly those who need to read this won’t, but if one does and it gets through to them be it breeder or owner then it was well worth your 5 points. Thank you!

here are the facts. people don’t take their pets to get spayed or neutered. then they breed. then no one wants their little puppies or kittens, and they have to go somewhere. a shelter is usually the place! then people go to shelters to find cute little puppies and kittens, and no one ever looks at the older animals. they then become overrun with older animals that it’s taking too much money to care for, and they have to make room for more animals to come in. a big problem is also that people don’t think of pets as one of the family. you have children and you have them for 18 years. you get a dog and you keep it until you just don’t feel like it anymore. people need to start seeing their pets as family members, and keep them until death do you part! there’s no reason to put your animals through things you wouldn’t let your children go through. “sorry honey, we don’t have a big enough yard for you to play, so we’re going to put you in a shelter.” what, you didn’t know your dog needed a yard? then get a house with a yard. people are stupid and their pets suffer.

That is such a sad but true story. My life revolves around the happiness of my animals. Even when I’m sick, tired or just don’t want go for a walk my dog always comes first.

That is very sad. My husband and I are looking for a middle aged dog right now, we have a 18month old and puppies are too hyper, and it is hard finding a good dog like that. That is used to kids and all the, rough playing.
