I just heard Matt Drudge on the radio saying that if the Romney campaign has to stuff the ballot boxes to win, “MORE POWER TO THEM!”
DIEBOLD SYSTEMS ARE USED IN THE STRAW POLL, DESPITE BEING PROVEN TO BE VULNERABLE TO FRAUD.

Everything we are all doing is going to be brought to NAUGHT if the Diebold computers – being used to ‘count’ the votes at the Iowa Straw Poll – are used to STEAL the Straw Poll Election.
YES – despite a study from computer scientists at the University of California paid for by the Secretary of State of California – publicized in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times LAST SATURDAY (July 28, 2007) – the Iowa GOP is STILL planning to use the easily rigged Diebold computers to “count” the vote at the Straw poll!
You see, the study showed that the Diebold computers were easily hacked, easily rigged, — and totally unreliable for conducting elections. And this is old news, several authoritative studies have already shown this from MIT, Cal Tech, Princeton University, and numerous other sources.

Well, the state of Iowa is making tons of money from this insignificant {14,000 + people voted} straw poll.[I've seen 14,000 people at a high school playoff football game.]
If there is any hint of impropriety the poll should be declared null & void.
Of course it wont be as the possible corruption in American politics is on a par with any other 3rd world country now.
That’s exactly why I back the candidate that has the most proven amount of integrity…..RON PAUL!!!

can you add a question so I can contribute something
I saw on the google news this morning a story about someone for a fair voting group trying to get the machines removed from the process but he was kind of late to be just starting on it as he was just taking this to a judge on Friday or Thursday so, not much time and I don’t think the vote is anything legitimate anyway so what does it matter if the votes are rigged? I mean, of course, its not right but on the other hand, if the people holding the election don’t care, and it’s not a government election, what is the legal implications?

This is one of the most important issues that we face in this country today. We need to have paper ballots so that they have hard copy to verify a count. This also needs to become part of a tamper proof system of voting.
If the counting system is broken into separate simple pieces it will generate a simple system that can not be tampered with.
Example:
You can have an electronic counter that just counts the number of people voting as they vote. When you go to vote you push a button and this counts you. Then the counter gives you your number on a ticket. With no other additional information. Then the ticket becomes your identifier as a voter and is put on a your electronic ballot and on the paper ballot as well. The paper ballot is put into a tamper proof container. At the end of the day the electronic ballots can be transfer to a central location to continue counting.
When you are done you put your ticket with your number in your pocket and go home. This system will not be tampered.
We will immediately know how many people voted. Then when they count for each candidate we know that the count must add up to the correct number of voters. As a last resort if anything looks out of place there is always the back up paper ballots still in the tamper proof containers.
The system that they use now was picked so that it could be rigged.
We need to keep them honest.
The existing systems can be set up to use the external counting ticket number as a vote identifier no new systems need be purchased.
