I just got this email from Yahoo. I’m very reluctant to email someone my yahoo ID and password – seems like junk to me, but I don’t want my account closed. Here’s the email

I got the same thing a couple days ago, asked the same question on here
I looked it up and it is listed under e-mail scams, that is is an identity theft scam. I deleted it, It looks a lot like those lottery e-mails.
I would delete it, I would never give my password and email address
out at the same time.

It’s a phishing scam. Yahoo will never ask you for your password via email.

this is a SCAM, the email is not directly for you, it is sent to thousands and thousands of people all of the time, because the scam artists have a computer that can make random email addresses….and send them spam.
they want access to your yahoo! account so they can use it for fraud, via email to trick people into giving bank details etc
DO NOT GIVE YOUR LOG IN DETAILS, yahoo! will never ask for your Yahoo! ID or password…
just mark these emails as spam and forget them, all types of unsolicited emails regarding money/lottery/accounts being deleted/winners of contests etc…its all a big SCAM.

DO NOT reply. This is a phishing scam attempting to get you to give them all your personal info. It’s not from Yahoo, just delete it and ignore it. Good luck and be careful.
